Takehara is located about an hour’s drive from Azumi.
Takehara once prospered in the salt and sake brewing industries, and one of its highlights is the “Townscape Conservation Area,” which still retains the atmosphere of the late Edo period (1780~1850).
This activity is a private tour that offers a cultural experience to learn about the charms of Takehara.
You will be guided through the townscape conservation area by a dedicated guide and watch a traditional dance performance called “Takehara Yacsasagashi Nagashi Odori” and sake tasting.
For those who wish to extend the tour, you can try making bamboo brush, a unique experience in Takehara, where bamboo craftsmanship is flourishing.
Please enjoy this special experience in this historical city.
